PRACTICE PLACE
Exercising Mind, Body and Spirit

Current research reports the integration of certain practices such as mindfulness, meditation, yoga, martial arts or just regular exercise are disciplines which engender profound positive change. Life long learning cultivates optimism and resilience.

About

At Practice Place we believe the key word is “practice” – as Webster dictionary defines: “to do something again and again in order to become better at it; to do ( something) regularly or constantly as an ordinary part of your life.”  We offer a facility that promotes the spirit of discovery and learning from your own experience.

We have found sharing information on the science or logic behind why these practices help creates motivation to learn for oneself.  Embrace “practice” as a new way to approach mindfulness activities… come and discover different approaches to activating your own resilience.  We aim to provide programs which include stress reduction, cultivating resilience and positive psychology.

The Daring Way™

The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. The method was designed for work with individuals, couples, families, work teams, and organizational leaders. It can be facilitated in clinical, educational, and professional settings. During the process we explore topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. We examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are holding us back and we identify the new choices and practices that will move us toward more authentic and wholehearted living. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing daily practices that transform the way we live, love, parent, and lead.
